It all began from ‘a man with a van’

When engineer Rob Huntbach was made redundant in 1991, he set up his own business to continue servicing diet feeders for local farmers.

A few years later, he was invited to take on a Keenan dealership, and took up the opportunity to specialise in diet feeders and slurry handling equipment.

As the business continued to expand, it was relocated to Canalside just outside Tattenhall in Cheshire, where it is today. The extra space has enabled the setting up of a fabrication workshop and a retail store. Farmers can drop by the shop for oils, tools and electrics. A wide range of spare parts for scrapers, feeders and PTO repair are also carried in stock.

The core areas of the business are CASE IH tractors, Weidemann wheel loaders, diet feeders and slurry handling systems. However, Rob is always on the lookout for new products, and in recent years has taken on the franchises for Joz robotics, and CMP ventilation systems. And if he can’t find a piece of kit to sort a problem…he will build one!

SAS has now grown to a business employing a team of around 25 people. At the heart of this business, remains the desire to always offer good service and quality.
