Scraper Systems
When it comes to scraper systems, there are several different methods used to pull scrapers along passageways, and the best choice depends on your shed layout, flooring type, passage width and level of daily use. At SAS, we can supply and install a full range of scraper systems to suit different farm requirements. We offer chain-driven systems, which are a popular and reliable option for many livestock buildings, as well as hydraulic systems designed for smooth and consistent operation. We also supply rope scraper systems, which are ideal for longer passages and layouts where a flexible, efficient solution is required. If you would like advice on the best scraper system for your farm, please give our team a call.

SAS Gutter Scraper
Sand has become a popular bedding choice thanks to its excellent anti-bacterial properties, but it can also create serious problems by settling and blocking slurry channels. To solve this, we developed the SAS Gutter Scraper. This heavy-duty underground box scraper is specially built to handle sand, pulling it smoothly along the channel and carrying it out into the lagoon. It’s a proven solution for farms struggling with sand build-up and blocked channels. If this sounds like what you need, give us a call and we can arrange a visit to a local farm to see one working in action.

Joz Robotic Scraper System
In sheds with slatted floors, an excellent alternative is the JOZ Tech, a fully automated scraper designed to keep passageways consistently clean with minimal labour input, helping to improve shed hygiene, reduce slurry build-up, and create a safer environment for both cows and staff. The system operates at programmed intervals throughout the day, allowing cleaner floors without the need for manual scraping. Another option is the JOZ Barn-E, an automated slurry collection system that travels through the shed collecting slurry efficiently without creating the wave of muck often associated with traditional scrapers, helping to reduce build-up and maintain cleaner passageways. Both systems can improve cow comfort and help reduce the risk of slipping, particularly in busy, high-traffic areas. If you'd like to learn more or discuss whether the JOZ Tech or JOZ Barn-E would be suitable for your shed layout, please get in touch for further information.

SAS Extreme Scraper
To meet the growing demand for cleaning wider passageways in modern livestock sheds, we developed the SAS Extreme Scraper. Built for strength and performance, it attaches to the front of a telehandler and is ideal for large, high-traffic sheds where speed and efficiency are essential. Its hydraulic folding wings extend out to a maximum width of 15ft, allowing you to scrape wider areas in fewer passes. This reduces labour time, improves shed cleanliness, and helps keep passageways safer and more comfortable for cattle. If you’d like more information or want to see one in action, contact SAS and we’ll be happy to help.
